On the evening of September 9, 1879, the first electric light in China was lit at the Mawei Shipyard, illuminating not only the history of China's shipbuilding culture but also the course of modern Chinese history.

The China Shipbuilding Culture Institute commissioned CRIOO to create this cultural gift lamp, encapsulating the "Fu Culture" and "Shipbuilding Culture" in these special lights. The lamp features an image of the article published on September 23, 1879, in the "North China Herald," reporting on the lighting of the electric lamp at the Mawei Shipyard on September 9.

Case Overview:

Communication and Planning Stage:
The company first engaged in-depth discussions with the China Shipbuilding Culture Institute to understand the core values and symbols of shipbuilding culture. After detailed discussions and design requirement confirmations, the theme and design direction of the lamp were established, aiming to design a representative and artistic gift lamp inspired by shipbuilding culture.

Design and Production Stage:
The design team created several lamp styles, incorporating patterns, colors, and symbols of shipbuilding culture. Using eco-friendly materials, they integrated symbols and imagery from shipbuilding culture, such as dragon boats and ocean patterns. The images on the DuPont paper not only retained cultural characteristics but also considered the practicality and aesthetic needs of modern life, ensuring the product met both functional and visual standards.

Production and Quality Control:
During production, the lamps were made strictly according to design requirements and material selections, ensuring the quality and craftsmanship of each lamp. Especially when creating complex patterns and detailed engravings, precise production techniques and quality control measures were crucial to ensuring the artistic quality and sustainability of the final product.

Completion and Delivery:
After quality inspection and customer approval, the gift lamps were completed, packaged, and delivered.
